We Can Discover the Wonders
of Nature All wood of this piece is original. This is an old birdcage with a freshly painted white interior. Old acid bottles and other chemistry lab items and a 1940s era pin-up girl image on thick board were placed inside. Antique papers line the frame of the cage's glass cover. This piece can hang on a wall or sit on flat surface. The title is a famous Grateful Dead song with a line that states "it is fun to discover the wonders of nature" in all the variety that notion suggests. This is my tribute to some of the lovely but more sober works of Joseph Cornell. It also harkens back to the days when this pin-up would be considered naughty, then chauvinistic, and now, very tame.
