All wood and paints of this piece are original. This "shadow box within a construction" is bordered by a deconstructed red box from the Hamilton Watch factory of Lancaster, PA. Within a glass covered chronometer frame is a scene with 1840's legal papers, a bird illustration c. 1890, and a set of resin fiber gears. Bold color, graphics, and old familiar items create a fantasy environment of unanswered questions.
