One Factory, One Room All materials in this piece are original. This piece consists of elements found all in one room of a famous old factory in Buffalo, the E & B Holmes, that manufactured machines that made barrels, since before the Civil War. The green wood was a tool cupboard, the wooden ridged piece is a pattern for casting a rolling cog gear, and the brass numbered tags kept track of tools taken from the central tool repository. This mirror has angled glass adding a bit of extra visual action and is a gentle comment on the mix of decorative, domestic items and our industrial past.
