Sunroom 1964 All materials in this piece are original. This is a play on decorative fashions from the 1960s and 1970s, using material from that era. The lime green came with the off-white from a hippy basement apartment in an old Victorian home in Buffalos art district. The pattern, in lime green and yellowed off-white, suggests the informal rooms so popular in decorating magazines of the 1960s. Greens and yellows, and even blues were mixed to present a bold almost tropical look in family rooms, sunrooms, and other informal spots. This is a very difficult pattern but the results are wonderful. |
