Ripple
31" x 31" x 2"

All materials in this piece are original. “Ripple” is a limited edition work done in partnership with Robert Then, a noted Buffalo metalworker. He had found an old metal shop with some leftover strips of corrugated sheet metal, carefully wrapped since about WWII. The tooling to form this metal was an 1898 crimping roller. We devised a design and used some old brass bits to highlight the corner seems. It is bright in strong light, but shows its age in lower lit areas, looking a bit dulled and mellow. Areas of slight discoloration and surface blotches add to the historical, non-commercial look of this work.
