All wood and paints of this piece are original. In this piece a “dome” form hovers over a square central lozenge and is underlined by a row of five colored squares. It seems to form a pictogram or schematic diagram of some ancient riddle. In actuality, it is just pleasing forms in a nice pattern that shows off old textures, paints, inks, and patinas. Sometimes a wonderful work is made by just what the artist likes and wants to share in a basic form. |
